Max Reim is an expert on envisioning, creating and operating vibrant retail centers that are environmentally and financially sustainable. He has led or been involved in the planning, developing, and operating of more than 25 large-scale mixed-use projects ($100 million to $5 billion) in seven different countries. He previously worked at Intrawest as regional vice president, the world. He speaks regularly to industry organizations such as the Urban Land Institute, the American Planning Association, and the Congress for the New Urbanism.
Jay Fowler is the Executive Director at the Grand Rapids Downtown Development Authority, where he has worked for the past eight years. He was the Assistant Planning Director at the City of Grand Rapids for two years before moving to his current job. Fowler graduated from Grand Valley State University in 1977 with a BS in Urban and Environmental Studies. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), and a board Member of the Michigan Downtown Association.
